Friends - for those who loved the old Dansko and Sanita sandals, Sanita has a pair out now that is JUST like those ones they stopped selling a decade ago:
https://www.zappos.com/p/sanita-sesso-brown/product/9955292/color/6 I got them, wore them right out of the box to walk about six miles today. (I'm in Florida - it's warm here.) And I wish the front straps were adjustable - they're the slightest bit loose, but oh boy am I happy to have these shoes. I think these are going to be my workhorse shoes this summer. I look forward to the posts to come telling me that my husband hates me and you are laughing. I don't care! I'm so happy about these sandals. I wish they came in some bright colors - yellow?? - so I could get those, too. What sandals are you looking at this year - for walking, for travel, to horrify fellow DCUMers, to look pretty at dinner, whatever. |
| I like those! I don’t know that my husband has ever noticed my shoes in his entire life honestly. |
| Those look like something a 75 yr old woman who talks about "reading periodicals" a lot would wear as she bustles about town doing errands. |
| Those are old lady shoes. Seriously. How old are you, OP? |
| Anything but those. |
| Oh, girl, those are bad |
|
Attractive women can get away with wearing garbage bags (and these shoes), while unattractive women won't. |
| I like them. I agree though that they should come in some colors besides black and brown. Even a lighter tan and a white would be fun, but I’m still chasing the huarache high I had when I was eight and had amazing white huaraches. |
I no longer think in such reductive, binary terms. No one owes anyone else beauty or a particular look and no one needs to only where what they want if they’re sufficiently attractive. |
I feel like this is 100% the answer to most fashion questions on this thread! |
| No. Just, no. Not remotely cute just functional. |
| Rock on with your comfy sandals, OP! My comfy sandals are also my workhorses. |
