Why are so many men suddenly approaching me?

Two big passages in life are when you notice people checking out your mom and then 30 years later you notice guys checking out your daughter.

These posts come up frequently. And I never understand them. I am in restaurants, hotels, airports, offices, supermarkets, etc. and never see this supposed activity. And I almost never look at women because I'm tired of hearing how guys are always checking them out.

You don’t experience it so it never happens. Got it.

The majority of men are not creepy but some hit on pretty much anything that walks. If you’re a woman, you’ve pretty much had unwanted male attention. It does kind of ruin it for everyone.

This. You have to love the PP you quoted mansplaining womanly experiences. Nice!

We are dogs and have a good sense of smell. Your pheromones must be kicking!

People think you are a troll because OBVIOUSLY none of us know what you look like so how would we know why these guys are supposedly hitting on you. It sounds made up because it's pretty dense to ask people who can't see you why guys are hitting on you suddenly. If you aren't making it up then just ask your friends, they might know.

Also, if any of it is true, there are plenty of things you can say to shut these guys down within five seconds and I think you can figure out what they are. Maybe start with, "Leave me alone" and proceed from there.

Baseball cap makes you look tounger and more attractive. I feel in love with a cougar in a baseball cap.

Noted. It’s funny, I actually have extreme RBF. I don’t know how I even look approachable to them!

You have a pretty smile!

All of a sudden I’m noticing tons of unsolicited male attention, like out in public from strangers. They’ll get my attention somehow, like while I am in line at the store, places like that, and then make mundane conversation that always ends in a comment about my looks (“You have a pretty smile”, etc.) Or, a variation of cat calling, where random delivery drivers parked across the street where I am walking will wave at me.

I’m a 40yo F fwiw. I haven’t changed anything about myself or my demeanor, and in fact, most days I feel tired and exhausted and drab. Why are they singling me out? I mean, they are clearly going out of their way to get my attention. I’ve never experienced this before, or at least, not since my college years when I was young and cute!

But it’s sort of creepy? when these random men come up to me in public. I’m warring between appreciating the compliments to being annoyed they feel they have the right to comment on my body? Does this even make sense? Am
I insane?

It’s not just you. Highs have suddenly popped up to the 60’s and spring mating season is upon us. Everywhere I go, male birds are trying to mate. Humans are not immune.

This is how it feels! But why me, and most important, how can I get them to stop and leave ME alone?

Wear something that indicates that you are gay/lesbian.

DP curious to know what that would be?

Do these men try to stiff your butt?

Stupidity and poor spelling combined.
