Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s permanent return to UK is very ‘possible’

There’s no way William would bring Harry and Meghan back.

William can scale back the monarchy and royal duties OR he can enlist the help of his cousins.

George will be an adult in a decade+. He just needs to buy a little time.

If only. I’m sure they are not wanted there either.

Probably planted by Harry’s PR, but he’s not even trusted to see Charles for over 30 mins so that will not happen.

I dont think is a good idea this women cause to much trouble for the royal family.

William had many years after college before he had to do real royal work, and in this scenario he’d need George, Charlotte, and Louis to step in as soon as they’re able. And this is assuming they’d even want to. Elizabeth was clear that she wanted William to experience life before joining the working royal ranks, and it’s unfortunate if he can’t do the same for his kids.

The cousins seem content with their own lives for now at least. Mike and Zara would have to give up some of their business ventures if they became working royals. Beatrice and Eugenie both do charity work on their own already without the scrutiny that comes with being a working royal. Louise and James are still kind of young.

The new era of the monarchy looks nothing like the QEII reign. Change isn’t always bad, but they’ve got to develop a clear plan. Unfortunately having Kate and Charles on the sidelines isn’t helping, but that’s the cards they’ve been dealt right now.

I’m sure Andrew and Fergie’s girls would be thrilled to be working royals. Ditto for any other UK-based cousin.

Kate will be back, and so will Charles.

If there was even a remote chance of considering letting Harry back in, Charles would have met with him along with William.

The reality is they know Harry can’t be counted on or trusted, so Charles and William will work together to determine a path forward.

Other royal families get by just fine with a monarch and their immediate family. The BRF can make adjustments.

They’ve made it clear that they don’t want their kids being raised in that atmosphere.

Well the game has changed big time.

How so?

The majority of the living working Royals are 70+ with limited time left. Charles presumed to die or abdicate in next few years if not sooner, and Camilla will no longer be queen. Kate not expected to take on all Queen duties based on her condition. They need more working "hands".

There are plenty of other royals who would thrilled to be allowed to become working royals. Harry is superfluous.

+1. Notice who is going to whom. Harry is going to them, not vice versa. Is Hollywood or even Brentwood knocking on their doors? They are becoming more irrelevant with each passing year. Once Charles passes, they will have no connection to anyone close to the crown except Fergie and her daughters.

They need Harry - he's very good at doing the royal engagements - in fact, along with being a soldier, it may be the only job he is suited for.

Anne is getting old, Andrew is done, Edward and Sophie are there, and Andrew's girls. When Charles is gone, what are they going to do?

Charlotte and Louis should be paying attention; this is their future

They’ll be fine. No one “needs” Harry. He’s drug addled and not particularly bright.

I don’t picture them running to another country and throwing their family under the bus but I guess anything is possible.

This.

Their parents are intentionally providing a family environment that is more nurturing. I suspect they will have a clear plan for each child’s future.

You just said Edward, Sophie, Andrews girls are all there which would mean they don’t need Harry. At all.

You’re going them way too much importance. If some wizard waved a wand and made the entire BRF go poof this instant the UK would just keep marching on without skipping a beat.

+1 He and Meghan are spectacularly unpopular in the UK.

I do think we’re seeing how the slim down doesn’t work. Beatrice, and soon James and Louise should be full time working royals. James and Louise can really help bridge the gap before the Wales children are ready. Eugenie would be willing but I think would prefer not to be FT.
