Because the solution to this problem is political. And the shooters were very likely ginned up by politicos and charlatans exercising rightwing conspiracy speech.

Or people could not shoot other people.

Nobody has to shoot up a crowd of innocent people. Individuals can choose to follow laws and not harm other people. That’s a great solution: don’t harm other people.

If wishes were horses beggars would ride.

So your position is that people are always going to harm/kill other people? Humans don’t have the capacity to stop themselves from shooting other innocent people?

I don’t shoot innocent people, do you?

I don’t have the slightest desire to shoot anyone.

Sure. What’s your solution for making sure people who DO want to shoot someone don’t get their hands on weapons?

We have many laws to prevent that; people don’t follow those laws.

What’s your solution to stop people who don’t follow our laws?

There are many more laws and actions that could stem the contagion. But then again, the GOP doesn't care about sch things on any level. They want the chaos, no matter the price.

We have laws against rape, murder, theft, kidnapping, child abuse, assault, etc, and those crimes are committed every day. The GOP doesn’t make people break the law.

When will murder end?
When will rape end?
When will child abuse end?
When will people be able to drive or walk and not be hit and injured or killed by a drunk driver?
When will people stop stealing things?
When will pedophiles stop abusing children?

If you break laws your guns get taken away and you can’t buy any new ones. Anyone who sells one toy gets prosecuted. Also certain types of ammo should be banned.

Police are not the answer.

Coordinated by 2 suspects.

Any chance this was radical Islamic terrorism?

People are reporting it was an argument between two people. So far, no indication that it was terrorism or pre planned.

And it didn’t happen at the parade; it happened near the parade route, though.

It happened at the rally after the parade where hundreds of people were gathered.

If I was another country - I would issue a red alert for tourists intending to visit US major cities. Honestly, it could happen anywhere even outside a major city, sadly.

All the Americans who get all crazy when they see State Dept travel warnings to other countries? Unless is the Middle East or El Salvador LatAM, I'm gonna say, we should be issuing warnings about our own cities!!

This is simply a travesty. You can't guard a parade. In Highland Park over July 4th a couple years ago, for this celebration, I mean, it's gotten to the point where it's not safe to attend public events at least those that can't be secure.
