Tulane has a national reputation. It's a well-known school. Everyone's heard of it. No-one outside of VA knows Richmond.

People look for a lot of things in a school- campus life, job and grad school placement, geography, sports, Greek life, parties, gender ratio, cost and aid. Pure academics are probably pretty far down the list.

So how exactly do you measure and compare the relative academic rigor between Tulane and Richmond? You have of course attended multiple classes at both. 🙄🙄🙄

The WSJ rankings are an absolute joke. I guess we're all sending our kids to BYU since they are a T20 now? I mean, why aren't we all talking about ED'ing to BYU since it's a 60% acceptance rate and a T20 school?

But Brown, UCLA, Colby, Johns Hopkins are all outside of the T50 so not to be considered.

Vanderbilt: 13
Duke: 16
Emory: 42
UNC: 83
UVA: 84
Tulane: 354 (I was wrong at 252)

Again, why is Tulane so much worse than the peer schools? It's not even about being outside the Top 50.
