| Is one of these better or are they academic peers? Both seem to be popular in our school that similar kids apply to. |
| Tulane is known more nationally - but I can't really answer your question on how they compare academically (among peers and by employer perception) |
|
Tulane is amazing. There is nowhere else in the US like NOLA. I went to professional school there -- 10/10. Best years of my life.
How it compares to Richmond with regard to academics, I don't know. But I would have no interest in living in Richmond. |
| Academically, Richmond. Party time, Tulane. |
NOLA is a crime ridden cest pool. |

| I think the student profiles are pretty different. Tulane more free-spirited and Richmond more preppy/wealthy. |
| Depends on how far away from home they want to be when they party. |
Someone's kid got rejected from Tulane

| UR seems like a better academic school. |
| Tulane has the better academic reputation nationally. And who wouldn’t prefer New Orleans to Richmond. For me would not be a close call. |
Tulane is pretty wealthy too. Actually at our school, they draw similar sort of students but Tulane is much more popular. Additionally, almost everyone that attends Tulane from our school is Jewish - could be a plus if you’re Jewish. |
Tulane is much more diverse across the board. We visited Richmond and it was so white, so preppy. Off our list. |
24% admit rate vs 11%? Um, no. |
| Those two schools are completely different experiences. Visit and see which DC prefers. |
