Purdue probably believe the courts will not take anti-white racism seriously. Maybe they are right

The judge in this case is a white girl.

I imagine she is an adult woman.

She prefers to be called young girl than an old hag.

You think Judge Springmann cares what someone like you calls her? You sweet summer child.

"Dr. Ishii called women 'stupid,' referring to them as 'doing much worse research work as men engineers' and 'using the stupid U.S. legal system to get faculty positions they do not deserve.'"

---
It's more than possible that the Plaintiff didn't deserve tenure *and* Dr. Ishii needs to be removed yesterday.

Yes, both things could certainly be true.

“A senior researcher in the nuclear engineering department, Jeffrey Brooks, wrote a declaration in 2020 in Sizyuk’s defense as part of her lawsuit. The document was filed last month. In it, Brooks wrote of Sizyuk’s high qualifications for tenure. He blamed Ishii for the outcome.

“I have observed that Dr. Mamoru Ishii has a strong, outsized influence on employment decisions at Purdue Nuclear Engineering,” he wrote, describing anti-female remarks and actions.”

This is why my DD chose a women’s college for her STEM undergrad. She will be in a coed grad environment but she has built her credentials through research experience in a woman friendly environment and has the confidence in her abilities that she needs to push through in an environment that is less woman friendly. Her prior experiences in STEM were filled with boys and men doubting her and keeping her in “her place.” It’s hard for women in STEM.

Even if you believe that you're stupid for repeating that often in the work place. Dr Ishii is about to find out.

This is terrible but honestly…aren’t Asians as a general matter harder working than white people? Specifically people in the US with Asian ancestry, especially if they have parents who sacrificed a ton for them to have a better life in the US. This is the racist version of not hiring millennials.

That’s more tied to recent immigration than race.

+1. He's on and on talking about how stupid whites and women are, and he's the one stupid enough to be saying this stuff? Look in the mirror, doctor!

In any event, as a general matter, it's looking like Asians are more racist than white people.

+1. When I was growing up, I always heard the jokes about how lazy Mexican people were. It was so confusing. Looking around, they put whites, Asians, and everyone else to shame in terms of work ethic.

It's all just allegations at this point. It's nearly impossible to defeat a summary judgment as long as you have a he said she said scenario. The plaintiff already lost as to Purdue and one prof already. Doesn't look right at this point if the plaintiff already lost summary judgment in part.

His reputation is damaged now. That’s good enough.

Yes, because one Asian person making a racist statement means that the other 2 billion+ Asian people are racist.

In the 21st century, stem production at an economical level is not one of these things

Asians are way more interested, able and willing to take grad school wages to produce good work

This is why the CHIPS act will fail

Same thing happened - tsmc was not happy with the quality of the workers in arizona so wanted to bring over workers from Taiwan on expedited visas but tsmc is being held up

None of this matters for identity group discrimination. If some people are willing to work for lower wages, then you'll get them without discriminating by race or national origin.

Only if the plaintiff gets what she wants through the trial - a tenured position at Purdue. Purdue and Isshi already declined to settle by paying up, so it looks more like the plaintiff filed for $$$$. It's very difficult to defeat a summary judgment motion. Yet, the plaintiff already lost 2/3.
