This is why my DD chose a women’s college for her STEM undergrad.  She will be in a coed grad environment but she has built her credentials through research experience in a woman friendly environment and has the confidence in her abilities that she needs to push through in an environment that is less woman friendly.  Her prior experiences in STEM were filled with boys and men doubting her and keeping her in “her place.”  It’s hard for women in STEM.[/quote]
