Desserts that are exciting for kids but not too unhealthy

My kids love frozen fruit. Frozen berries, frozen mangoes...

I haven’t read the rest of the thread, but my kids like baked bananas with honey. Peel the bananas first, slice in half lengthwise.

Broiled red grapefruit with a little bit of sugar and cinnamon is also very yummy. You need to slice the grapefruits in half and cut along all the membranes first.

Homemade cupcakes, muffins, cookies. Not “healthy” versions, the real deal. Because you make them at home, you can control the portion size. I have a pan that makes 2 inch Bundt cakes. Slice and bake cookies are great because you can bake them with dinner and have a warm cookie and a golf ball scoop of ice cream.

Fruit with real whipped cream is a fun treat for my kids - I have a churning tool from Pampered chef and they whip the cream.

lots of things other people mentioned:

banana pancakes or frozen bananas that turn into banana "ice cream" when blended

whipped cream and we let the kids add a bit of food coloring for excitement

frozen berries

unsweetened fruit popsicles

Homemade greek yogurt ice cream made in the ice cream maker. Full fat greek yogurt, honey or simple syrup to taste, fruit or other add ins. The fun is watching it come together in the ice cream maker. It works best with the wegmans 10% greek yogurt so it's basically ice cream, but high in protein and you don't need a ton of it to satisfy.

Greek yogurt with sliced bananas and a few "tru fruit" frozen raspberries mixed in

Hot cocoa (proten powder optional)

Peanut butter spread on a tortilla with sliced banana and/or a few chocolate chips

Meringue cookies and milk

Smoothies or shakes made with yogurt

We do smoothie popsicles often, berries with whipped cream, mini banana and oat muffins with chocolate chips, mini - poker chip sized for lack of a better description - chocolate chip oatmeal cookies made with whole wheat flour. I try to serve the muffins or cookies with apple slices.

We make this once a week. It’s great.

Flan with fruit - we make with 3 ingredients- milk, eggs, sugar

We just have a scoop of real ice cream. Sometimes with berries on top.

Make your own chocolate muffins

For the people who like the bananas turned into ice cream, I highly recommend Yonanas. You use frozen bananas as a base and then can add other frozen fruit (we love mango) to create new flavors. You can even add a little bit of chocolate if you want, but we try not to.

Any fruit and whipped cream. Chocolate dipped berries. Granny Smith apples with caramel drizzle. Sundaes - one scoop vanilla, whipped cream, chocolate or caramel drizzle and sprinkles.

For store bought - there are TONS of mini ice cream novelties. Sandwiches. Blue bunny cones. Drumstick cones. Mini Magnums. Luigi Italian ice cups.

Some kind of stone fruit with a little oatmeal and brown sugar sprinkled on top.

Make your own candy. Melt chocolate and stir in fruits and nuts, top with sea salt.

Greek yogurt bark. Basically spread the greek yogurt in a pan, sprinkle some fruit over it, put it in the freezer, then once it's frozen, break it up and serve.

That is decidedly not exciting for kids.
