What about the bullies at Kilmer? What is the school doing to teach them to be decent human beings?

I heard more than one student got into trouble. It seemed like it was dealt with quickly with all who were involved.

Was this incident the result of bullying? I thought the threat was for the entire school and not to individual bully

It's unclear how it originated. My understanding from my son is that the fight was somewhat prearranged. Having participated in a "prearranged" fight when I was in middle school that most certainly against my will and was definitely the result of bullying, I don't find that to mean much (I did win my fight, however!). It could be possible that the winner of the fight has been bullying the kid who threatened to shoot everyone. It wouldn't be the first time this chain of events has taken place.

I hope you are not a parent or teacher....this is always a concerning statement.

The hysteria is because school shootings are very real in America.

How many middle school shootings in the US are COMPLETED BY MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN? I know of none. Did the kid bring a gun to school? Talk of plans to execute a shooting? Have any means to due so? It doesn’t appear by the information we have that there is an imminent threat.

What are their parents doing is the right question.

Kilmer parent here - I spoke directly to administration yesterday and felt confident that they determined there was little to no risk. My kid went to school today and it was fine. Hate all you want on Kilmer. My kid is in aap and is happy there. It's a good school.
