'A woman carrying a "Free Palestine" sign rushed to help him.' Gosh, these people who want to free Palestine sure are antisemitic!

It's not. Not at all.

Why are they doing it then?

Maybe, but maybe not. We don't know what the motive for the altercation was, and the article does not say.

I can't speak for all of them. You'll have to ask them yourself if you really want to know.

Please do not do an #NotAllPalestians here. Please. Nothing in the message above implied all Palestinians are murderers, and your response is awful.

Why is anyone surprised that there is an uptick in hate crimes targeting Jewish people and Palestinians/Arabs/people perceived-to-be-Arab/Palestinian? It happens every time there is conflict in the Middle East. Expect more of it.

I am not sure than anyone is surprised. Rather disappointed.

Disappointed and sad. This current conflict and the US response has made anyone who is Jewish or Muslim less safe. Not only in the Middle East but also in our own country. This disturbs me. And it’s not just one sided. Multiple acts of violence and hatred levied against both religions.

The mosque close to my home has had several police cars in front of it every Friday and every Muslim holiday for years. From what I've read, synagogues (and some churches) have had armed guards on site for years. Sadly, anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish sentiments are a part of our reality as a country. They're just amplified right now.

My Jewish school had armed security in the 80s.
Our local synagogues always had security as well.
