Islamophobic and anti-semitic hate crimes in the US since 10/7

I hope Jewish people here realize that not only is anti-semitism up, but so is anti-muslim. But, they seem to largely ignore the anti-muslim sentiment, which really never went away after 9/11.

Either way, it's awful.

This woman was upset after watching news coverage of the Gaza war and decided to attack what she thought was an "Israel school" because it had a Star of David in front of it. So, he drove her car into the building. But, it turned out that the building is actually used by Black Hebrew Israelites, who the ADL and other groups consider to be an antisemitic hate group.

? How can a group called "Black Hebrew Israelites" be considered an anti-semitic hate group? That seems like an oxymoron.

I first heard about them in the Covington kid incident at the Lincoln memorial a few years ago. I believe they were taunting the Catholic kids that were gathered there, saying some pretty awful things to them.

If only Jeff had said the name of the group and “ADL” in his post for you to Google. https://www.adl.org/resources/backgrounder/extremist-sects-within-black-hebrew-israelite-movement

At Stanford University, a Jewish student wrote antisemitic messages near a pro-Palestinian sit-in in order to make them look bad:

You’re painting with a broad brush accusing “Jewish people here.”

And a lot of Jewish people paint all Palestinians with a broad brush.

If you read through the forum, Jewish people seem to only focus on anti-semitism, ignoring all the hate crimes against Muslims, of which there are many, especially after 9/11.

I've been told that if you don't support Israel's government and their settlements into Palestinian territory, then you are anti-semitic because anti-Israel = anti-semitic.

Does that mean that if Jews don't support Palestine's right to their land, that makes then anti-Muslim?

Honestly I don’t consider that a hate crime. You can call it anti semitic to take down the posters but they take them down and walk away. The people making the video follow them, engage them in conversation, cuss them out, and then post the video online. Not good conduct either.

Listen college kids are young and idealistic and do dumb things that they later regret.
