Three middle schoolers in Maryland were charged with hate crimes after they displayed swastikas, acted out Nazi salutes, and made "offensive comments" about a classmate's religious beliefs, county prosecutors announced last week.
Happened in Calvert county. Initially, I thought it was overboard to charge hate crimes against middle school kids for something that was not physical. However, after reading the article it looks like they did this for months and did not stop even after being told multiple times. I hope the kids can learn from this and become better people. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/03/26/maryland-students-hate-crime-nazi-swastikas/73099550007/ https://calvertstatesattorney.com/students-charged-with-hate-crime-violations/ |
This is the crap Jews are faced with. Whoever this is actually thinks this is a valid equivalence. |
Damn. The parents definitely knew - sounds like they gave the perpetrators lots of opportunities to stop. Related - we looked for a house in this part of Southern MD (Western Shore). If you drive around the backroads you'll see plenty of Confederate flags tucked away on houses, fences, old work trucks, etc. Pretty place, but I can definitely envision the parents of these kids saying they DNGAF about lil Brayden's anti-Semitic harassment. |
Update on the Cornell student who made threats online against Jewish students back in October.
They were fake threats meant to garner sympathy for Jewish students and make people hate Hamas. https://nypost.com/2024/04/10/us-news/cornell-student-patrick-dai-admits-to-making-antisemitic-threats/amp/ |
