Wonder how many would take us up on it? No free health care, little vacation, no disability, poison food, free education, and don't forget mass shootings. yay us

Why would we want to do this? What's in it for the US?.

Massive strategic wins:

Cheap labor influx relative to skill level and assimilation rate, massive gdp boost, makes europe more of our client states

America would be a lot richer if under 40 eu citizens flooded here en masse (old ones wouldn’t come even if offered)

His degree is in piano teaching. Isn't that one of the skills people consider to be a waste of an education?

Imagine American umc families having personal French chefs, English gardeners, German personal tutors, Spanish physical trainers, Italian interior designers due to labor rates plunging from immigration

Would be great

But we already have too many immigrants and are struggling to integrate them. Plus, Germans dont have enough children.

Thank you

It means a lot of homeopathy.

😂 so true

German healthcare Is notoriously bad and full of junk science

Most of the doctors want to move to Switzerland

French and Italian medicine is better

And how do you know that?

More Mexicans have assimilated than G7 citizens.

So much for "open borders."

Interesting that you chose back Africans for your contrasting scenario when we have a real life illegal immigration crisis you could have used.

You are more like these "people" you are criticizing than you think you are.

Every study of assimilation says that the rate of assimilation is the same today as it was in the early 1900s.

Lots of immigrants in the 1900s did not assimilate and went back to their home countries, something I did not realize.

Homeschooling laws in Netherlands have loosened up - thanks to Dutch advocate who studied law at Harvard.

Maybe this family could consider moving to the Netherlands ?

Yeah, a lot of people thought they could make a bunch of money and then go back to the old country, to whatever town they came from. Some did, some didn't, and it probably had more to do with their family situation than anything else.

Two Italian PhD’s lost their visa status and were sent back to the EU when I was working in an academic research center. These were incredibly educated and innovative scientists! Our loss entirely.

I was shocked. Local schools are overflowing with undocumented students, but we discard European academics making breakthroughs in cancer research?

Well OK but in this case we are deporting a piano tuner with a large family, whose kids also are starting large families.
