Yes. They’re for a particular kid, but most kids wouldn’t be interested. |
| The women’s college experience is not what is used to be. If you aren’t gay/bi you are a minority there. |
They are ranked 5? How does a school that discriminates against an entire gender be ranked that high? |
|
I went there. Fabulous education. Very very serious women. I donate a lot (as do my W sibs) because I believe in the school.
But +1 to the person who said it's where fun goes to die. I found law school relatively easy and definitely more fun than Wellesley. |
Graciously explain how you are using this term. Sisters and brothers? |
| DD got a scholarship to Wellesley. DH thought it was too serious. Then we got a personal letter inviting DD to come out as gay with her. It was inappropriate of course but DD chose a different school. Way too gay for her. She wanted more men around. |
This, single sex is a niche market. For this that are interested, Wellesley is an excellent option. |
Wut? |
What are you saying?!? |
| My niece goes there and loves it. She’s a serious student who also knows how to have fun and make great friends. She loves the location, has had beautiful dorm housing and has had great internships. I’m not into single sex but she’s thrilled. Could have gone anywhere (literally) and is so happy with her choice. |
Unfortunately, it seems like these women's colleges have become this. We were told to look at Smith and did a hard pass. My DD loves boys too much and WANTS a boyfriend. It's too bad because I cna see the advantage of an AWC. |
I don't believe this. |
| My daughter is a prestige whore, and she passed on a few T25 SLACS to go here. |
| I know 3 women who are at Wellesley now, and none of them are gay. |
|
I literally just asked about Wellesley yesterday and all most people had to say was LESSSSSBIANNNNS.
Cool. People can all freak out about gay people. Less competition for my kid. |
