What's disgusting about the Federal workforce? You'd prefer not to have safe drugs? Get rid of Medicare? Abandon Veterans' health care? Let banks do whatever they want? Get rid of any oversight of nuclear power? |
What job works with paper anymore |
The hatred is disgusting. |
We pay for our own drinking water. |
I remember the absolute shock when I came from the private sector to working as a Fed. We had to oh for our own water too, AND our offices were rodent infested. There’s not even coffee provided by the office. Even the annual party has to be paid for by the employees. It was like $32 for a paper plate with food from Boston Market. |
People who hate feds have no consistency. The same people who call us the "Deep State" (implying an incredible level of competence) also deride feds as lazy and incompetent. Pick one. You can't be both at the same time. |
| Well that will lose him the DMV vote. |
I’m not saying this isn’t true, but let’s think about the DCUM audience. Every fed here is a GS13-14-15 or SES or finreg or atty and they’re almost all the hard working ones since they managed to get there. But they get paid less to work in worse conditions than all their private sector peers. So naturally very very few of them will sympathize with the blanket disrespect for feds. |

Even if you want to burn books and/or arbitrarily kick certain citizens out the country you still need a book burning Agency (with appropriate leadership
0 to develop a policy on what books, where said books are, obtain contractual support to assist the government in burning books, and of course the necessary fuel, transportation, and other logistics....government administration is still needed for whatever policy initiative you want to partake in....everyone always forgets about the administration part. |
Get paid with taxpayer dollars and give no s**** about actual taxpayers and you get what you get 🤷♀️ |
DP. I give way more shits about the taxpayer than you do, I guarantee it. I see how they are getting royally duped by mouth breathers on capitol hill who conduct sham “oversight” of federal employees because they can’t manage to do anything else. There’s a reason those people are in the legislature and not the executive. Many of them couldn’t manage their way out of a paper bag. Countdown to shutdown! Talk about a self-own. |
Right? But when they can’t get their way they’ll blame it on “deep state” actors instead of their own incompetence. |
Most statutes delegate authorities and obligations to a department rather than specific agencies. So I guess he could eliminate FDA, but HHS would just have to do all its work. The end result would be an expensive, drawn out reorg where everyone keeps their jobs, but nothing gets done for 18 months because of bureaucratic hiccups. |
Do we work at the same place? |
This is the same talking point as Paul Dans for his 2025 plan or whatever out of the Heritage Foundation. It's a plan that begins immediately if Trump is elected. They will immediately remove feds in any kind of policy making capacity, as they feel they are partisan, and replace them with their own partisan folks they round up at town halls. Remember how we brushed it off last time.... |
