Thoughts on Ole Miss?

Exactly. That’s why John Grisham is working at Burger King.

Burger King? Wow. Poor, unsuccessful man. He's doing better than I thought. I thought he was pushing a lawn mower somewhere.

Ole Miss is not a great school. There's no way I'd pay OOS tuition, but that's me.

I married into an Ole Miss family. There’s no way I’d pay OOS. I would have to even think long and hard about paying in state for my kids.

A top 75 school? Ole Miss is ranked #151 in USNWR.

When you rank the states in education, Mississippi and Arkansas trade places in ranking dead last.

Not your typical DCUM “choice” school but a perfectly acceptable university and inside the top 75 public schools.

Apply, visit, compare to other acceptances and make an informed decision. Top 30 schools don’t have enough seats for everyone.

There are only 50 states, that’s a lag-ship.

New poster with no dog in this fight, but you need to learn to read. The poster said Ole Miss was a top 75 PUBLIC school.

Yes, it is ranked number 72 for public schools placing it in the top 3rd of public schools. You do realize that a number of states such as CA, VA, NY and several other states have multiple ranked public schools.

Yes it is ranked 151 amount national universities, placing it just outside the top 3rd for national universities.

Not the best school and certainly not the worst. If people don’t want to send their kids to Ole Miss for political reasons or because they think everyone in Mississippi is stupid so be it.

But if she goes there and some snob asks her where she went to school, she can always give the answer of I went to Oxford and just walk away.

I'm from Mississippi. Ole Miss as a school is fine as others have mentioned. However, Mississippi is...not great. I wouldn't want my daughter meeting a good ole boy and staying there. Ugh.

That's like picking a college because they have a great gym.

Have you been to Ole Miss for a football game? It's hard to understand for those that have not been to The Grove.

how do you put that football game on your resume or grad school application?
