My job is not to educate you. If you want to understand the GAPING differences, Google is your friend. |
The question is what makes your state superior? |

Most of the commenters on this website seem not only shallow but also remarkably uneducated, which is odd for a website that champions universities.
On the other hand, it's embedded in people's DNA to seek status as a form of self-protection. And when people tear down others, it's usually because of their own self-hatred. This website ultimately is about the fun of gossiping, which people do to distract from their miserable lives. |
Hopefully, you are not an Ole Miss professor. |

and you MUST join GREEK LIFE. Unless you play football. |
I'd say a bot revived this old thread, except AI doesn't write this badly. There's a school for everyone. |
A LOT of the major state universities in the south & midwest offer automatic merit aid (ie, you don’t have to apply for it—it is seamlessly awarded based on GPA & ACT/SAT) that often brings the out-of-state premium down considerably. And you don’t have to be a genius to qualify for such merit aid. Sometimes even a 22 ACT will get you some. |
| It seems, to me at least, there is a serious push here in NOVA for both boys and girls to Ole Miss and other SEC schools for that matter. |
|
"Not your typical DCUM “choice” school but a perfectly acceptable university and inside the top 75 public schools."
What am I missing here? There are fifty states, and each has flagship university. States like CA or TX might have two schools worthy of flagship status (Cal and UCLA, UT and TAMU). So, how is it a mark of distinction that they're in the top 75 public schools??? |
Only one school in each state is the flagship. Regardless, top 75 is great compared to thousands of regional colleges and universities. |
| Hotty Roddy! |
Shit. God damn autocorrect. Hotty Toddy. |
| Make a visit and she can see what she thinks. I don’t have first hand knowledge, but it appears highly appealing to the Stanley cup, basic B, sorority type girls. If this isn’t your daughter, she may have a harder time finding her way socially. But..college is big, surely there is something for everyone. |
+1 Ole Miss and Alabama are the SEC safeties, but still tons of fun. 3.0 kids can have the same fun as a 4.0 at UF, UGA, etc. |
There seems to be a lot of happiness found in the SEC for sure! |
