Dealt with a storm delay at a concert there. Wasn’t fun, but it was handled fairly well. Luckily the storm had cooled things off a bit. |
x100000 She knows. |
+1 The inefficiency of D.C. is not a secret. |

Yes, people have been to baseball games where it rains. This is a regular occurrence. |
But this time DC is under a tornado watch through the concert. |
| Yet another reason why I don't want a new stadium in Virginia. Let DC and MD deal with these messes... |
took the words right out of my mouth! |
Rain is not the same thing as the storms that were rolling through last night. Stadiums do not shelter in place for just rain. |
PP isn’t going to get the distinction. She thinks sitting in the rain during a non-sold out baseball game is the same as lighting/tornado watches. |
Wrong. I was there last night and there were far too many human beings in the entryway space) where the concessions are. There were thousands upon thousands of us jammed in there with no air circulating, heat and humidity, dehydration. They would not allow us into the stadium until after 9:30 pm when at least half the stadium was there—in that tight space. Fed ex field holds 67,000 people at least. It was far past capacity in the hall area. People were fainting and panicking and passing out. Read my Yelp review today for more details. There was no order, no directions. Before they let us in at all “security” stopped admitting people and had the nerve to suggest we return to our cars. Not. The worst concert venue ever. I will never return. The concert didn’t start til 10 cause it was pouring rain. There were no announcements made. We just sat in the outing rain waiting. |
One of the women I sat next to at the sunday night fiasco was told by her brother in law who was police stationed there that they were about to evacuate because of lightening. About 5 mins later that was cancelled. |
Not enough room for a sold out concert numner of people. The show was supposed to start at 8. We were not allowed in until 9:30. |
