I’ve been to several sold out concerts at Nats Park (as well as a lot of baseball games) and they do fine.

During thunder/lightning/pouring rain?

Dealt with a storm delay at a concert there. Wasn’t fun, but it was handled fairly well.
Luckily the storm had cooled things off a bit.

I thought TS fans were all for women’s empowerment, not putting people down?

Putting an arena down because their logistics are terrible and life threatening is pretty different than putting "people" down.

Taylor Swift's team made an appropriate business decision so that she could avoid putting her fans in the position Beyonce's fans were put in last night.

Different poster (I was the one who went to last night's show) but I think that's also why The World Cup isn't coming to the area. FedEx needs to be replaced

The inefficiency of D.C. is not a secret.

No need for anyone to attend any concert anywhere. Save money and trouble and listen to it on ear pods while jogging in a nice park.

Nah. I’ll keep going to indoor venues. But never an outdoor one in this area in the Summer.

Merriweather had a major issue a few years ago during a storm. Outdoor concerts in DC are a no go.

There’s room under cover for people at FedEx and other football stadiums. Merriweather is a totally different thing.

The Merriweather situation included flooding and spectators in water with electrical equipment.

That was the Halsey concert last year and I was there. it was terrible because we waited and waited for her to come on once the storm passed. They said at 930 she was coming, then at 945 she wasn't. We were SO mad because we hired a babysitter. Also a band tech kicked a scared squirrel for no good reason.

Those people are sitting on metal rails and chairs! Damn!

But this time DC is under a tornado watch through the concert.

Yet another reason why I don't want a new stadium in Virginia. Let DC and MD deal with these messes...

I was there too. Luckily we were further back and didn’t see the animal abuse. We also left once it stopped raining as it was pretty clear the show wasn’t happening (to us, nor based on the official word from Halsey or the venue). I’m not surprised that FedEx had a rough experience. It was a much larger crowd and FedEx just doesn’t have a great reputation for handling anything.

Then, how about not pitting two women’s entertainment brands directly against each other when putting the arena down. Start there, with the putting down of the arena rather than upholding a different (white) woman as an example of what to do. It would help ALL women, just like Tay tay would want.

“Pitting two women’s entertainment brands directly against each other?!”
Good grief, what a reach.
I honestly don’t know if Beyoncé has played FedEx in the past, but TS has, so she would have firsthand knowledge of FedEx’s issues. Pretty sure that’s all the PP was trying to say.
Did not sense any shade being thrown at Beyoncé. As TS would say, “You need to calm down.”

And we see you over there on the internet
Comparing all the girls who are killing it

But we figured you out
We all know now, we all got crowns
You need to calm down

took the words right out of my mouth!

Rain is not the same thing as the storms that were rolling through last night. Stadiums do not shelter in place for just rain.

PP isn’t going to get the distinction. She thinks sitting in the rain during a non-sold out baseball game is the same as lighting/tornado watches.

Wrong. I was there last night and there were far too many human beings in the entryway space) where the concessions are. There were thousands upon thousands of us jammed in there with no air circulating, heat and humidity, dehydration. They would not allow us into the stadium until after 9:30 pm when at least half the stadium was there—in that tight space. Fed ex field holds 67,000 people at least. It was far past capacity in the hall area. People were fainting and panicking and passing out. Read my
Yelp review today for more details.

There was no order, no directions. Before they let us in at all “security” stopped admitting people and had the nerve to suggest we return to our cars. Not.

The worst concert venue ever. I will never return. The concert didn’t start til 10 cause it was pouring rain. There were no announcements made. We just sat in the outing rain waiting.

One of the women I sat next to at the sunday night fiasco was told by her brother in law who was police stationed there that they were about to evacuate because of lightening. About 5 mins later that was cancelled.

Not enough room for a sold out concert numner of people. The show was supposed to start at 8. We were not allowed in until 9:30.
