Maybe it’s regional? I don’t see any of my 12y.o. son’s friends or notice other kids at camps or classes in joggers anymore. It’s jeans, chino-type pants, cargo pants, and non-sport shorts unless actively engaged in sports. |
Perhaps it is regional because I have not seen that at all. I have an 11 year old and 14 year old. |
Like, to school? Ours has a strict dress code (I'm the polo and jeans poster), so this is bizarre to me. Like, they actually wear joggers in public? I need to pay more attention in the grocery store, I guess. |
If your kids are going to a private school with a strict dress code, your observations on what MS boys wear may not be mainstream. |
+1 or else, this poster lives in the tropics? |
DP - DS finished middle school this year and no boys wore jeans. |
Sure, but...kids really wear joggers to SCHOOL? |
No worse than crocks. Those are hideous and I don’t care how many teens follow the trend I wouldn’t buy anything that’s not flattering to the person wearing it |
Do your schools still do awards in year book for best dress, funniest, etc |
Have you not read this thread at all? Or, are you just trying to make a point here for some reason? |
No, mine doesn’t. But that’s because he and his friends wear athletic shorts year round. |
My rising 6th graders wears baseball pants all the time. Even on non-game non-practice days. He plays hard and they are harder to rip. I’ll be curious if this changes in middle school in the fall. |
And, what’s the deal with wearing shorts year round? Even when it’s snowing? So dumb. |
What’s wrong with joggers? I wear mine everywhere. |
That's teens and tweens for you. They're not cold so whatever. Or, even if they are cold, they certainly won't admit it! |
