Middle school boy fashion?

What is your DS and friends wearing?
My DS wears Crocs, sports jerseys, Nike, and under armour, and champion shorts, shirts, and sweatpants. He has 1 nice pair of expensive sneakers which he rotates with a cheaper brand.

My rising 7th grader was all about athletic clothes and expensive sneakers last year. Now he says that he wants everything to be as plain as possible so it's cream colored Crocs, plain white tees, and longish slim Bermuda shorts and regular pants from Zara, H & M, and Old Navy. I'm floored but it's a welcome change for my budget.

No expensive sneakers. Does not care. Usually Adidas and UA mixed in with logo shirts. Any brand for jeans, shirts and pants.

7th grader
Converse or running shoes or chacos
Jeans unless it’s sweltering and then cargo shorts or lightweight sport shorts only in plain, dark colors w/o any stripes, logo, or other embellishments
Plain cotton t-shirts or plain synthetic shirt, only if running or playing his sport

The key is low-key and plain. He’s got two “ironic” graphic T’s, but that’s it. He hates logos.

My rising 7th grader wears jeans or loose khakis with some kind of hoodie 95% of the time. Minimal logos and is fairly brand-oblivious. Wears new balance and Merrells. Comfort is #1.

MS teacher here. This is the uniform for middle school boys. Except you left out the hoodie.

My rising 8th grader wears tshirts, athletic shorts or athletic pants, sneakers. He doesn't care about brand at all -- I think his shorts are lands end this year. Plus hoodie in the winter?

My son has had a basic self imposed uniform from 7th grade. He’s a 10th grader and it’s barely changed.

Black, grey or occasional navy athletic shorts
Solid athletic tee
Hoodie when it’s cold

He doesn’t care about sneaker and wants them comfortable but many kids do. The only thing that’s changed is that as he’s gotten older, he’s become very against logos and they need to be very tiny now for any brand.

Joggers or sporty shorts and plain tees. He'll also accept race/sport tees. Hoodie. He doesn't care about the shoes. He also doesn't particularly care about the brand.

My son’s friends are mostly baseball players and they wear athletic shorts and t-shirts with baseball teams or logos (under armour) they mostly wear Nikes or New Balance. Some wear crocs. Nike hoodies

My rising 8th grader wears the same as all of the above. He has one church outfit which he will wear for the barest minimum time possible before it's back to dry fit, hoodies, and crocks.

Our MS outfit is crocs, pajama pants, hoodie. Spring outfit - same as above, maybe shorts. Same for HS. Girls wear way more logos ( Lulu ) and more sporty looks at our school.

Nike everything. But that’s just my kid’s preference. Friends wear athletic gear. Uniforms for school so this is weekends.

Jeans and polos. His school doesn't allow t-shirts, and he prefers to just grab without thinking.

I have rising 7th and rising 9th sons. They both wear athletic shorts and various t shirts and sweatshirts. 12yo is more into sports team shirts. He and his friends all wear their favorites teams - KC, Celtics, Eagles, Patriots, college basketball t shirts. My 14yo seems to want to look as plain as possible. He mostly wears plain t shirts and plain hoodies. Both boys don’t seem brand conscious. Can be under armor, Nike, adidas, Uniqlo.
