As for the video- I can see where he might not have known anything about the history, or how others would view this. I agree with PP, why not just say that…

Lol you listen to it because of the backlash?

How about Pumped up Kicks? That’s a song that pisses me off. But it is art and they have a deliberate message.

He did not know the history? You mean he just randomly picked this place? Yeah, it’s m calling BS on that.

This is his whole schtick. He appeals to the bro-loving white country music fans who can’t stand that country is diversifying even a little bit.

It’s not really random…he lived there recently

I read about this controversy. Aldean didn't even write the lyrics.

No he is not. I personally am sick of all the lawlessness. Good for him. In your little bubble you’re appalled, in the rest of the real world we are horrified what has happened in our cities. I’m happy to see people fighting back.

In order to call the lyrics racist you have to associate the crimes he mentions with black people, which seems kind of racist. I think we should all just sit this one out because nobody looks good here.

It’s not about diversity, it’s about mob rules brought to you by the left. You are such a racist btw.

From a recent article:

“His wife, Brittany Aldean, and his sister, Kasi Rosa Wicks, launched a conservative clothing line dedicated to trolling liberals. Aldean defended dressing his children in anti-Joe-Biden attire and himself for wearing blackface as part of a 2015 Halloween costume. He was spotted golfing alongside Donald Trump and delivered an impromptu performance at the former president's Mar-a-Lago resort.”

He wore blackface in 2015 and y’all think that’s fine? Cool, cool

Can we call it “associated with black people” when he shoots the video in front of the place where a black guy was lynched?

Oh dear. I’m so embarrassed for you.

And can we agree that wearing blackface in 2015 is kinda racist?

You…you think that choice of site was just a coincidence? Out of the hundreds of thousands of other site choices to film the video? Wow. Denial runs deep.
