Recommend a daily sunscreen

+1 and it's FSA eligible, which I like.

Supergoop for me most of the time, but I really like ThinkSport when I’m going to be outside for hours at a time - it’s zinc-based.

+1 Love the tinted version of this, it dries matte and looks and feels great. I didn’t like the one version of Elta I tried and wanted mineral so haven’t tried Supergoop.

I have very oily skin, btw, and LRP Anthelios works for me without causing breakouts

This but the European version if you actually want to block the skin damaging rays.

How do you get the European version if living in the US? I rarely trust Amazon for things like this

This is silly. The proposition that only European sunscreens block "skin damaging rays" just isn't true. They do have better chemicals, but American sunscreens work.

I use the Summer Fridays mineral sunscreen milk. It looks yellow out of the bottle but goes on clear (I am very fair but with rosy cheeks so I always notice tinting). It does look shiny after first application but it dries down and does not look greasy on me. I far prefer it to the creams I have tried.

Just FYI, I use Elta MD for myself and love it, but my 10 year old was allergic.

Cerave tinted. It’s gorgeous and the ONLY thing that doesn’t break me out.

I bought a bunch of LRP in France, and it is amazing—it feels so much nicer on my skin. This is my favorite type (and this website gets great reviews and seems reliable as a seller of authentic Euro skincare): https://www.caretobeauty.com/us/la-roche-posay-anthelios-uvmune-400-oil-control-gel-cream-non-perfumed-spf50-50ml/

This is also good if you prefer a more fluid formulation: https://www.caretobeauty.com/us/la-roche-posay-anthelios-uvmune-400-fluid-spf50/

Would any of the Korean or Japanese ones work for someone with dark skin? Any brands you like?

UVA rays cause wrinkles. American sunscreens don’t contain high or reliable coverage against UVA rays. They don’t even claim to do so. The bottles only refer to “broad coverage”. You are correct that American sunscreens protect again UVB rays which also damage the skin in particular ways. If you are concerned about wrinkles and sun spots, get 50 plus European or Asian sunscreen.

Hi, i am the PP who wrote the Isntree comment. I am Middle Eastern and have olive/moderately brown skin. It works well for me and does not leave a white cast. I asked your question to my mom and she said this one should not leave a white cast on darker skin tones also because of its formulation. She said Missha All Around Sunmilk and Neogen Dayligt Protection Sunscreen should also work great with dark skin tones.

Does anybody have recommendations for korean moisturizer and sunscreen in one?

NP. I’m also allergic, but used it for years just fine. I think something changed with their formula.
