Recommend a daily sunscreen

Help! I just hit 50, and my skin is in pretty good shape, but I want to get more rigorous in my sunscreen use. I’m extremely fair, never tan. I’ve started using a retinol, which I like, at night, but I’m hating the sunscreen I need to use during the day. I never wear makeup, and, honestly, hate the feel of anything greasy or heavy on my face. Can anyone recommend a lightweight feeling daily use facial sunscreen. Right now, I’m using a mineral based tinted product, but I need to replace, and I’d love something that doesn’t make me dread applying it!

Elta MD is the one most recommended by derms and it is very good. They have several formulas - I prefer the daily to the others but they have samples of all so you can try different formulas. They have tinted and clear. I have my 11 & 13yo dds wearing it daily too.

I like Supergroup's unseen sunscreen, which has a texture, but I feel like it melt right in. No lingering scent.

I have oily skin and absolutely hate the fact that every sunscreen recommended on here made me feel like I was wearing sunscreen. Even elta and supergoop. After some research, I discovered Japanese sunscreen. Apparently, the US has been extremely slow to approve new sunscreen compounds, so Asia is light years ahead on their technology. So you have major recognized cosmetic brands in Asia releasing sunscreens we can’t get here. I like this one, which legitimately feels like nothing on my skin:

+1 to supergoop unseen.

I always felt like elta md felt heavy. Supergoop is so light and just disappears.

I hate Supergoop Unseen sunscreen. It is silicone based and feels slippery and gross. I like La Roche Posay Anthelios.

I have very oily skin, btw, and LRP Anthelios works for me without causing breakouts

I tried the Supergoop and I just didn't like the texture.

I've been using this Obagi sunscreen, and I don't hate the texture - I have very sensitive skin and it hasn't been irritating either:

Costs a fortune, is the only problem - but it lasts me months and months (and I live in Florida) so I figure it's worth it.

Peter Thomas Roth - https://www.peterthomasroth.com/water-drench-broad-spectrum-spf-45-hyaluronic-cloud-moisturizer-1901008.html

It's a moisturized with sunscreen. It comes out like a cream but then just kind of melts into your skin. It's the only one I could tolerate for years. Now I blend it with a bit of Supergoop Glow Screen to make a tinted moisturizer.

I agree. Japanese sunscreens are the best!

I suggest Korean sunscreens. They have milky texture and go on seamlessly. I especially like the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel. My mom is a dermatologist (she is 60) and she is using this and told me about it.

I like CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. It is pretty basic but does feel lightweight to me (and affordable). For me, sunscreen is a priority so I don't question it.
