Walk a lot.
It’s hard not to indulge while on vacation. I usually let my guard down during vacations, but I find that as long as I walk a lot per day I can at least maintain weight. By a lot, I mean over 6-8 miles per day. |
I went to an AI two years ago and I think I got in 18k steps a day plus I worked out and was active so I burned most of it off. I enjoyed everything in moderation and stuck to two meals a day (typical for me) and didn’t worry about it and neither should you. I found after a day or two that the sweet cocktails weren’t that great anyway. |
What the heck is “ranch water”? |
Tequila, lime, and soda |
I stick to my usual daily morning run (running on the beach adds a great resistance workout) and then do a ton of acrltivity - walking, swimming, etc.
My fitbit keeps me accountable. Too many sugary cocktails make my stomach hurt so despite being at an all-inclusive, I do limit the drinking. I indulge on the fresh seafood and other things. I actually avoid the pastas (for example) b/c I can have that at home and choose other foods and drinks that are novel or a treat to me. I don't obsess over a few extra pounds upon return home. I can burn that off once I return to regular routine and eating. |
