It helps if your mom is senile — it is mothers day for her — and there won’t be a weird vibe — as if every table is celebrating a birthday. |

Just throwing this out, if you are a dad or husband looking for breakfast, have you checked with Whole Foods to see what they can offer? Or even a local restaurant for carry out? Then get you some pretty table settings, and do brunch/breakfast at home?
I have no idea of where you live but have you checked www.opentable dot com? You might have to expand your search and try for lunch somewhere. I see plenty of space for noon at various restaurants. Then do a light breakfast at home. |
| Why would anyone sane try to go to brunch on Mother's day of all days? Terrible, terrible idea. |
Classic amateur move, |
Nah, having brunch at home on mother's day using "amateur hour" as an excuse is a classic lazy-husband move. Bonus points if Mom ends up having to deal with the destroyed skillet |
Haha, you guys are so dramatic. Have you ever been out for brunch on mother's day? You make it sound like it's a war zone. We go out for brunch on mother's day every year. It's really not that different from any other weekend brunch, except that you need to make a reservation. Nowhere I've been to is giving you a prix fixe or transforming into a Chuck E Cheese |
| Yeah I hope if any of the “Mother’s Day brunch is amateur hour” posters are men, they have some plan for breakfast/brunch that is not mom cooks it or cleans up the aftermath. |

More guys should just learn how to cook. --dad *and* husband. |
100% this. $95/person for a brunch buffet? I could never imagine eating $95 worth of breakfast food. Perhaps if I was a drinker and that price included bottomless drinks, maybe. |
|
Mother's Day Brunches are terrible. I refuse them all. Make me a coffee, buy me some flowers and vegetables to plant, and grill a hot dogs later in the evening. Chill some watermelon.

Mimosas at home are nice too. Keep it simple |
| just do it at home. Costco--fruit salad, quiche, muffins, juice. |
Don’t worry, OP will be back here Sunday complaining about the terrible service at Founding Farmers. |
Lone Oak I think you mean, and this is a great idea. We’ve done wineries before on Mother’s Day—not one with a special brunch or event, though. So perfect. |
