| I love the saltwater sandals |

These, I’ve literally purchased them twice out of fear they would discontinue them.
They are so comfortable and match everything from dresses to jeans. https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=866946012&vid=1&tid=onpl000078&kwid=1&ap=7&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8vlFGdJvAoAdfJMDiKh8fsAA&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8vlFGdJvAoAdfJMDiKh8fsAA&gclid=CjwKCAjw6IiiBhAOEiwALNqncVcT6VR5LUdfKU2UdGaLtZMkDc8bCf9_tRtSQXHmFipFqbji4y2HUhoCkDEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#pdp-page-content |
Me too. This year my favorite is the Keen poster who thinks her pink Keens are "cute". I feel like she wears capris too. |
They seem like they'd be horrid for walking any distance. Do you have them? How are they? |
|
Are these totally flat or do they have a slight wedge? |
Those were all the rage five or so years ago (maybe more). I think they're ugly but had a few friends (kids and adult)who had them and walked all over. |
|
Did you go with your regular size or size down 1/2 as they recommend? |
I know, just like...on a really long Friday workday the universe just GIVES. |
My husband would divorce me if I wore them .
I was a STEM major and lab worked in a lab and every single scientist wore birks with socks. I absolutely despised the look. I am an athlete but always liked make up and a more feminine look. I was sexually harassed/same sex at my first job by a woman that wore birks. I can’t. I can’t get over them being the major dork shoe. And German women lived in them decades before they became a fashion statement here. |
|
Birks and tevas on women always used to mean: I’ve given up.
I went on a grad research trip and they had tevas as a required item to bring. Omg—I can still hear the Velcro. Just awful. |
| Outing myself as horribly unfashionable but I will wear Jack Rogers until I die. |
|
Does nobody suffer for fashion anymore???
I went on a year long sabbatical in Europe and walked miles and miles in wedges and cute block heels that were the range in 2000. No sneakers (unless actually running) and no ugly looking orthopedic looking sandals. Your feet get used to it. |
| I bought gladiator sandals this year. They might be out of style, I don't even know, but they were the only ones in the store that I could see being both comfortable for walking and tolerable looking with a dress. |

I could answer this a million ways because what I wear to the pool is not what I wear to walk around a ton on vacation is not what I wear to a nice dinner out is not what I wear with shorts and a sundress. What I will offer then, admitting that a) I have nicer sandals for sure and b) these don’t tick EVERY single night to day summer activity box is the t strap flip flops from Old Navy. They somehow look cute with sundresses and with black jeans and a white tank. They work with shorts and can be worn to the pool too. Slender and barely there, I really love them. They’re like $5:
