What’s your summer sandal that goes with everything?

The shoes that I feel really elevate a summer outfit and that I get compliments on all the time are the Alexander Wang Amelia studded flats

I bought these Olukai sandals for comfort but was surprised how versatile they are to wear with a variety of outfits.

I love Birks, but that ankle strap is a killer. How do you style those??

What is the issue with the ankle strap? Style them with shorts, dresses, whatever. I would not wear them with jeans but I don’t wear jeans in summer. They work with linen pants that are full length (I don’t do capris).

Is it a candles thing? I have small feet and narrow ankles so I don’t stress about ankle straps. I have some Arizona’s too but they don’t get as much wear because I think they are clunkier looking and with no ankle strap, I don’t wear them for long walks.

I’m just imagining those hideous shoes with shorts but you do you…

Ok, now I want the Everlane mule in every color!

Those are really pretty - unfortunately I'd break my ankle (or neck) in them...

I live in south Florida and work from home and I’m lazy as heck, but I always like to look passably cute…. So standard sandal is the Kelsi Dagger Ruthie nude (which is light pink) - it goes with literally everything - a pair of denim shorts and tee to Publix, or a maxi flowy sundress out to dinner. And I consistently get compliments on them. Why? Not chunky, have decent coverage and don’t make your feet look like hideous yeti feet.

They’re also super comfortable and no straps.

Unfortunately she discontinued them this year - just when mules and slides are more in…. So I will have to find a stand in!

But yeah the suggestions on here are “fug”.

Stay gold, Dcum!!

No.

To the people posting stuff like keens …. Are you being serious? Do you think these go with everything? Like you would wear these to brunch with friends, shopping, summer party in a friends backyard?

NP and I disagree. These types of sandals are perfect for travel because they have a toe-box which will keep your toes protected. You haven't lived until you've been at the start of a vacation and had something/someone run over your foot and crack open your big toenail. Never again.

These shoes in black would be just fine for a night out and would pack down small.

Omg I saw those first shoes and gave the wearer a compliment because they were sooooooo awful I was staring and had to make something up. I have 1000 questions but none were nice. Mostly why? Just why?

I see the second on flights all the time and don't understand them. Same question. Why?

Still no. And definitely not on a night out! Have some self respect.

Most of these go perfectly now with the armpit hair trend. Pass the patchouli.
