Sorry, but I had to ask; you never know. Have you tried a baking soda-based deodorant? I can't use it because it causes me skin irritation but I've heard good things about it.

Get out of here with that. Most grown adults don't use a washcloth when showering, yet most people (in the US) don't seem to have a problem controlling their body odor.

OP I think this could be hormonally based, and as our hormones change so do our needs. Try Dry Idea roll-on. It works like a charm on me - I found it after several fails with other deodorants.

Ummm who doesn't use a washcloth??!!

Most people

Nope. Not true. Prove it otherwise. Adults use wash clothes, that’s why they are sold.

Why don't you prove that most adults in the US use washcloths while bathing in an effort to wash their pits, butt crack, balls....

''Do you use a wash cloth in the shower? Forty-four percent of you use just your hands, while 38 percent use a loofa! Wash cloth? Just 14 percent of people use a wash cloth and 4 percent use something else. They don’t identify what that “something else” is, but if you’re one of those people, please let us know what you use!"

Great logic.

Adult diapers are sold. Therefore, all adults use diapers. Do you wear diapers?

Out of the shower, follow up with The Ordinary glycolic acid or Stridex in the red box pads. Once dry apply any deodorant. I use Dove 0% because antiperspirant buildup contributes to odor and general armpit grossness for me.

I promise with this daily routine you won't stink. I am an onion/skunk/weed BO person and I don't smell anymore.

Hibiclens can stain your tub.

Hasn't been a problem for me.

1) First use baby oil to rub over your armpits to emulsify deodrant or anti-perspirant. Then wipe out the goop.
2) wash with a bar soap like Irish Spring, using a wash cloth to gently rub the area.
3) Leave Nizoral dandruff shampoo or Hibiclen for 10-15 minutes on your armpits. Then rinse.
4) Wipe with alchohol before applying a baking soda deo.

Op here, tried Lume, didn't work and broke my armpits out. I had high hopes - their marketing is good and it probably works for most.

Try the Lume acidified soap.

I use one if I need to exfoliate before a self-tanner. But that’s it.

I do use a wash cloth for my face, which is their main function.

I use a flat lufah scrubber. Most people do use something to wash with.

OP, it could be your soap. Some soaps leave a residue that gets smelly. This happens to me when the soap starts being worn away, never when it's new.

Try spraying your armpits with rubbing alcohol after showering and a couple of times a day.

Stridex pads in the red box is the answer

Wondering about witch hazel - it doesn’t sting.

I’ve also seen the recommendation about hibiclens (you can order it from amazon in a foaming pump but the stuff is harsh) or other anti-bacterial soap - there have been threads on this before, there may be one over in the health forum. I know I’ve also read about magnesium oil, but can’t recall if that was for sweat or for another issue.

You need to disinfect your pits. Hibiclens in the shower--your entire underarm area basically from your elbows to your boobs. If you shower at night, you'll need to wash again in the morning. Also, touch up with an alcohol wipe during lunch.

What fabrics are you wearing? I have issues with most synthetics.
