By “sensitive,” could you be referring to possible dissatisfaction with assigned gender?

Anonymous wrote:DS grew up watching Mister Rogers because we are both sensitive and we found children's shows like the new Sesame Street and Pororo way too loud and annoying. What are some shows for the elementary age? Can be on Netflix, DVD or even just YouTube. He also used to watch Scholastic Storytime, which is just books being read on TV, and the Netflix show Number Blocks.

Mr. Rogers--the original--is all on Netflix and it's all still great. We watch it all the time, kids age 3-8. Everyone enjoys it!

There are great nature shows. Currently watching Life in Color (narrated by David Attenborough) on Netflix

My 8 yo LOVES InBESTigators and it's one of the kids' shows I can tolerate.

We watch live animal cam and bird feeder cam’s on YouTube or watch YT Expedia travel segments. We have learned a lot as I am trying to teach my 6yo geography and the books at the library are very complex.

NP who lurked on this thread but wanted to come back and thank you all for suggesting this! I suggested my 8 year old try it based on this rec and she's a big fan (and now carries a pencil and notebook everywhere with her to solve her own mysteries).
