Quiet, educational shows for 1st-2nd grade

DS grew up watching Mister Rogers because we are both sensitive and we found children's shows like the new Sesame Street and Pororo way too loud and annoying. What are some shows for the elementary age? Can be on Netflix, DVD or even just YouTube. He also used to watch Scholastic Storytime, which is just books being read on TV, and the Netflix show Number Blocks.

Tons of PBS Kids shows meet this description

I found Storybots to very annoying, so if OP is looking for a quiet show, that might not be a good recommendation for her.

OP - the PBS shows are all great. Agree with PPs who recommended magic school bus, Xavier riddle, and wild krafts. Also Molly of Denali and Pinkalicious.

These are more geared toward younger kids, but my 6 and 8 year olds still turn them on sometimes - Creative Galaxy and Tumble Leaf on Amazon Prime. Both of them are very calm.
