Lol. That's easy. Harvard has Pete Buttigieg, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Conan. Stanford has Cory Booker, Josh Hawley, and Peter Thiel. Duke has JB Pritzker, Adam Silver, and Melinda Gates. I'm not including dead people, dropouts, or athletes either and I still did it.

+1 I know alumni from THOSE schools, not Colby

Well, the poster of that other thread is just asking for it. They got rejected from Bowdoin and are desperately trying to make themselves feel okay about Colby.

Why would it matter?

Compare it to Bowdoin’s list

Please tell me this isn't the direction the Bowdoin admissions office is taking.

DP. I can't rattle off famous alumni from any school beyond my own.

What is the point here? Looking for a way to trash Colby? Why is that?

Because of the poster who started the other Colby thread. It was weird.

David Epstein who is a Boston area weather forecaster I use to follow on Twitter for his great takes o the timing and amount of snowfall.

He’s a Colby alumni and very proud so mentioned often in his feed.

My DH now travels much less and my kids are teens + global warming and so I’m not on my own in cleaning up after snowstorms and with no more Trump drama, no need for Twitter.

But, when I hear “Colby” I think metrologist.

No, not a lot. Just Billy. The rest went to the family school - Yale. I know one of the second cousins, dumbest person I ever met. The name got her into Yale.

Makes you think about how dumb Billy Bush must be.

Lots of LACs have great alumni. Wellesley has Madeline Albright, Hillary Clinton, Nora Ephron, Diane Sawyer, and Cokie Roberts. I think most people in the US and a lot in the world know all of these names.

Lenny Bristol, Don Draper and Gordon Gekko is a very impressive list of fictional alums.
