It's a small school. Like any LAC, I would not expect to be able to identify famous alumni off the top of my head.
Why would it matter? |
|
I said famous, not moderately impressive.
It’s an underwhelming list esp last 50 years versus many peers. |
Compare it to Bowdoin’s list https://www.bowdoin.edu/about/history-traditions/notable-alumni.html |
Oh yeah? How, exactly? Less so than peers like Amherst, Williams, Bowdoin? Sure. Less so than Conn, Bates, Davidson. MacAlester, Mudd, etc? Nope. I have another game: Name 3 people rejected by Colby: 1. OP (or children) 2. Posters in the (coincidental?) other colby thread 3. ?? |
And? |
| Name 3 VA Tech non athlete famous persons |
|
Also, name 3 famous Ohio State alumni. I'll start:
1. Jeffrey Dahmer (stupid, stupid, so stupid thread) |
| I'm a huge Marty Brewski fan, glad to see him get recognized here. |
|
Three famous Wesleyan University alumn:
Bill Belechick Lin-Manuel Miranda Joss Whedon I guess my kid should have applied there. His chances of becoming famous are gone. |
| I went to a no-name college. I just glanced at its list of notable alumni for fun. Surprisingly, it includes a first lady and the most well-known current NCAA women’s basketball coach (I do not follow basketball at all and I recognized this person’s name instantly, so I’d so they’re the most well-known). |
| A lot of Bushes went to Colby. A friend of mine was there with Billy Bush. |
No, not a lot. Just Billy. The rest went to the family school - Yale. I know one of the second cousins, dumbest person I ever met. The name got her into Yale. |
