Older neighbors

Why are you so interested in their schedules?

By 50-52 everyone in my circle was an empty nester and we didn't marry until after grad schools.

Take your meds, grandma. Maybe your kids will want to visit you again someday.

I don't need to see my grandkids. There are plenty of others I care.

Only old people drive.

Who wants to go fight the crowds on weekends if they don't have to?

I clicked on this thread, thinking OP was going to write about older neighbors in possible need of assistance and suggestions on they may be able to help. This is NOT what I expected to read.

I am mid-40s. I have stayed home all weekend most weekends since I had kids in my mid-30s. Why? Because I am running ragged all week working and kid activities. On weekends we stay home and do nothing most of the time. MYOB.

Well, today, in my circle 50-year-olds usually still have one elementary kid.

Haha, no pot here but finally have the time to have lots of sex whenever we want now that the kids are out of the house. Way more fun than running errands all weekend!

When I was 50 my youngest of four was 20 and already in college. You know a lot of old parents.

I'm in my 50s and I plan to go to a Cure gig as soon as they get to town.

Not really. 50 with a 13 year old (youngest) LOTS of moms in his class are 50+.

What an odd question. OP, do you live in a house, TH, or condo? Where?

Same here.

OP needs to expand their interests beyond curtain-twitching.

I can’t wait to be one of those folks who never leaves the house on the weekend!!
