Tier 1 NCS

Tier 2 Holton

Tier 3 Stone Ridge
Visi

Tier 4 Madeira

Fixed it.

Tier 1 NCS

Tier 2 Holton

Tier 3 Stone Ridge
Visi

Tier 4 Madeira

Tier 5 Holy Child, Holy Cross

Agree. I went to Visi.

Maybe when you went to Visi they had better SAT scores? Madeira has better SAT and ACT scores than SR and Visi, so unless you have something other than your subjective opinion, Madeira ranks above both of these schools.

Madeira has much better college placement as well.

You are delusional if you think Visitation even comes close to Holton in academic rigor.

They absolutely do have the same level of "rigor."

It is obvious you came from a Catholic K-8 and are a Catholic booster. All the independent school counselors and consultants are very clear that Holton is much more rigorous than Visi. The ACT and SAT scores bear this out. Holton has an Average ACT of 32 vs Visi’s Average ACT of 30. Madeira also has higher ACTs/SATs over all the Catholic Schools you are trying to boost (Holy Child, Visi, SR). People might not have fact checked you but you went too far with trying to say Visi is equal to Holton.

They vacillate meaning the switch out for the higher spot. They are not equal because of the vacillation. Sone Ridge is, eh...

Visi is iconic and has been around since the 1700s..

Thi slist is okay with the need for a couple of tweeks. First eliminate the "Tiers," (I'm guessing you're a teenager.). Second, Holy Child would go just above Holton.

Why are all the great schools on the Maryland side of the River? Plus all the best country clubs and most billionaires… ugh.

Not fair and elitist.

Life isn’t fair. Get over it.

This is a dumb thread. Basing a school’s rank on tests designed to measure 10th grade level math/reading is just silly. It also says very little about these schools as high schools and more about the feeder schools from which they select students.

We could add Basis McClean if we're okay with a coed added to the list?

How do you judge that? How would you define rigor and how do you measure it- outside your opinion? Test scores are not necessarily indicative of rigor. Test scores can definitely be an indication of spending $$$ on prep.

It’s not my “opinion.” Holton attracts more serious students and has better college placements than Visi. Test scores are a measurable indication. And no one is buying the “Holton girls spend more on test prep than Visi girls argument” . That is so ridiculous. Colleges care about ACT scores not that Visi is “iconic.” LoL.

Funny, colleges use the same “silly” test to help decide admissions. I’d say that’s rather important.
