NCS
Medeira
Holton
Stone Ridge
VISI

This.

Niche isn’t really the end-all even though everyone’s obsessed over this list. Just like US news and world report is not the end-all for colleges..

Best for academics (learning rigor, teacher-student ratio, project focus). NCS
Best for social environment (inclusion, spirit, warmth). Holton
Best for college admissions.
NCS or Holton, but really its going to come down to whether you have any hooks which will be the same at all schools

Can we just stop this nonsense? Exercise some self control to boost your kid's school, please.

Exactly. Meanwhile, their children are out on their own.

Rank based on what? And why not just include all the girls schools (like Stone Ridge and Holy Child and others)

Seriously? I think it is fabulous that there are so many options for us in the DMV area. I know many girls who went through Holy Child. It is a lovely nurturing place that caters to girls of all academic abilities. They also have a very strong center for girls with learning differences.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit tired of this myself. As to the person who shared SAT scoring data -thank you. 100 point difference in average SAT scores doesn't seem that huge to me in and of itself...does it seem like a huge differentiator to everyone else? I would be curious about ACT and many other measures before deciding about a school. I went to a school with kids of all academic abilities and many are very successful, taking very different roads including arts.

Oh sorry... I see ACT was posted. Yes, the don't seem that different to me. If anything, I might worry that the NCS students overly focused on test prep and.missed out on other academic passions?
