Why ask a cop for help when she basically stated they weren't needed. That's her first fail. Then her second fail was when she tweeted with her lame excuse without saying her appreciation and thank you to the cops who helped her. [/quote] Well... That's their job![/quote] Many 3D officers were tied up with a real call at the time, so they WERE doing their job. This was worth a non-emergency call, not a call to the district commander, especially not by someone intent on further limiting policing in the county. And her statement? The police who “eventually” showed up? Nice words from somebody who prioritized herself and pulled them from calls. So yes, a small sign of gratitude would be appropriate. It certainly isn’t expected, given her anti-police stance. [/quote]
