That’s nice for you, but those of us with kids in sports only have the option to travel at spring break.

I’m not sure why the expense of your spring break is the county’s problem. It isn’t. If you can’t afford to travel, you can stay home.

Mainly, Spring Break shouldn't be tied to a religious holiday and it currently is and is scheduled to continue to be so because that is what the counties around here do. You can argue that Spring Break is not on Easter but it is always scheduled to happen at the time of Easter.

If Spring Break was decoupled from a religious holiday, then it would be easier for families to take vacations because it would be less expensive to travel.

we are flying out to see family and the plane tickets were stupid expensive. It is annoying but we can afford it so we are grumbling but not changing our plans.

Did you do Disney - crowded?

I"m seeing roundtrip flights to Madrid on Iberia for $560, if you're willing to leave on Sunday and miss a day of school by coming back on Monday.

Nowhere this year. We have a very busy summer planned so we are trying to save money. This spring break he will work.

Maybe we can afford it, but it just isn't worth the cost especially considering the crowds. Just because you can afford something, doesn't mean you should do it. It would be nice if fcps and the surrounding counties decouple it from Easter and instead do it at the end of the quarter. That way everyone doesn't travel at the same time and we don't have those two days off of school the week after spring break.

Disney is insane that week..don't do it unless you are a masochist and you want to ride like maybe one ride a day.
