| Funny that he went to Yale. |
And Harvard Law School. The man is not stupid. |

Who gives two rats' hairy asses? When was the last time you were asked in a job interview how much you know about Africa? |
Probably a non-tenured professor

| It's a 43 million dollar endowment, for a teeny tiny college that's only been around since 1960. It's always been progressive and super liberal. It has no grades, and has the reputation of having quirky (bordering on eccentric) students who are intelligent in often non-traditional ways. People who go there love it and academic freedom, the personal freedom, the social freedom. There's an entire month devoted to a personally-designed project. It's not for everyone, but those who attend and thrive often head off to get PhDs and other advanced degrees, finding themselves ahead of the game because they'd been practicing critical thinking and writing papers their entire undergraduate education instead of studying for multiple-choice tests or hiding in big lecture hall classes. These are dark days for New College students, who chose the school purposely because it did not reflect traditional or classical education molds. -Signed, someone intimately familiar with the school |
This. Zero chance of getting tenure if you are openly republican - even a Mitt Romney style republican. Sorry but DeSantis was totally correct about covid and is getting this right, too. |
+2 Good for him. Why should 99% of American universities be liberal? |
Sounds good to me. If only more schools would do the same. |

Because most intelligent people want nothing to do with today's "conservative" movement. |
In what ways does the modern conservative movement appeal to anyone who’s not a rich, straight white dude? |
Most of Florida voters said the opposite. That's why DeSantis is re-elected with a huge margin including historically Democrat counties. The liberals only live in echo chambers like most of the colleges and news media where only one conforming voice is allowed. Forbidding even a debate that Covid-19 may be leaked from a lab is one example how dangerous the one voice society has become. The cancel culture is now everywhere. |
Sure thing, keep believing that. Seems you are absolutely part of the problem that contributes to the ignorant bellicose nature of the the extremes that exist on both sides. Sad and pathetic. |
