Are Irish Coffees popular?

Too many calories for me to enjoy more than once or twice a year after snow shoveling or winter sports. I like the flavor in candies, though.

45% of workers ADMIT to something in a poll (the real number is obviously far higher) and you still think only a tiny minority do it? You’re quite naive.

Lady, you don’t understand statistics. That 46% is only of those sampled, who again, stopped working to drink. You didn’t even cite your source so we have no idea how big the sample size is. Was it 100 people? 1000 people? What were the demographics? But you’re over here acting as if that 46% was ALL workers. 😂

Is it really that many calories if you skip the whipped cream? Whiskey and Bailey’s is probably ~ 200 calories. But your not putting in sugar and cream you may have otherwise put in.

Are you reading the articles you’re quoting? You posted an article from April 2020. Yes, many people turned to alcohol during the pandemic as their mental health suffered. You keep validating my point, not yours. Your article does NOT mean most people drink while working in any given time.

Define drink. A single morning drink is not the same as drinking all day at work. On the TV series ‘Mayor of Kingston’ actor Jeremy Renner pours whiskey into his morning coffee in his office, but he doesn’t booze all day.

That is the least of Mike’s problems. However, Mike’s business is hardly what most people do for a living. Generally if a motor vehicles employee, judge, cashier, teacher, radiology tech, lawyer, plumber, or mortician is drinking alcohol in their daily morning coffee, we think about alcohol dependency.

Anyone else drink Irish coffee or Keoke coffee at bars in the 80s? I am old and truly can’t remember if they were popular or I somehow thought it was a sophisticated drink at night in a bar with dancing-no postprandial aspect at all.

I WFH and have never drunk before I was done with work. I find the idea very strange.

Honestly in the occasions I have indulged in morning drinking, even back in college, it just made me want to go take a nap (yes, even if I also had coffee). Just felt sluggish all day. I don't get the appeal.
