| I have "Santa" paper that is hidden. My kids have outgrown Santa now buy I still have "Santa" paper. For DD, it is always snowman themed and for DS it is always reindeer themed. I just buy paper from TJMaxx/Marshalls and have always been able to find something in those themes. |
Brilliant! |
| We hide the paper in advance and disguise our handwriting on the labels. NBD. Seeing beautifully wrapped gifts under the three - and then unwrapping them - is a huge part of the fun for us and our kids. |

My son noticed the wrapping paper thing pretty young, so I told him we leave out the wrapping paper and Santa uses it. Then I just left the wrapping paper out with the milk and cookies. Much easier than trying to use different paper.
Santa only brought a couple of presents. Grandparents and other relatives always sent DS way too many presents. When he would ask why Santa didn't bring all the presents, I just said he doesn't need that many presents from Santa since he has all those other people giving him stuff. |
| We use different paper for anything from Santa. And those gifts just have the recipient’s name written on the paper in black Sharpie. |
| Different paper, gift tag stickers from Santa ordered from Etsy. |
I’m 8:41 from the prior page and this is exactly how I do it as well. |

| Pro tip: Santa doesn't wrap presents. |
| Santa brings just one present and it is in different paper. Santa also writes in cursive. |
Yes we do sharpie on paper too. |
You realize there is a middle ground where kids can have fun with the spirit of Santa but not expect a guy to slide down their chimney, right? |
This! Of course Santa does not wrap. Now that my kids are older and know, Santa only does stockings and parents give the real gifts. |
|
We mentioned Santa but only casually - we never made a big deal about him. When the kids started questioning things we just let them roll with it and said “hmm. You think so?” and such.
We are Christian and prefer to emphasize the religious aspects of the holiday, so Santa was never the main event. |
Rookie mistake. |
