They are absolutely right wing. Sinclair buys local stations and make them run some of their centralized content (I haven’t seen this on wjla, though). Look at wjla’s promotion of right wing culture wars by segments such as “crisis in the classroom,” “reporting” by Nick Minock and the way they followed Republican midterm candidates around and gave them free publicity. The right wing media is a potent force and it’s unfortunate they have contaminated local news all around the country.

Also, all night long they have paid programming that promotes televangelist christian con artists that asks for your $1000 seed that will let you reap untold wealth if you call right now with your credit card in hand! Any station that allows obvious scams against poor people like that is evil.

Miller had claimed that her pro-gun views resulted from being the victim of a home invasion, but Washington Post blogger Erik Wemple discovered that her account was largely fabricated.[16] Critics also highlighted missteps in Miller's reporting, including an incident where she confused the photographs of two black men and misidentified one of them as a convicted sex offender.[17] Miller left WTTG at the conclusion of her contract in March 2016.[18]

In May 2017, WTTG was criticized for its coverage of the murder of Seth Rich, and in particular for giving credence to unproven accusations that Rich leaked documents from the Democratic National Committee. This WTTG story proved to be inaccurate.[19] The story was picked up by WTTG's sister network, Fox News Channel, a day after the story broke. Fox subsequently retracted the story.[20]
