Why do I find it annoying when childfree people say they are tired?

Meh. My dog's camp is literally more expensive than my plane ticket to Asia.

It's okay to be annoyed and sympathetic at the same time. I get annoyed when I hear people w/o kids complain and also vividly remember being one of those people myself. It's like you can't know how good you have it till you undergo the life change. People w/one kid complain all the time--I did--and now I complain even more with two kids and inwardly roll my eyes at the single kid whiners.

(PP here--but I still sympathize w/them b/c I remember 1 kid being hard too!)

Yes, young kids are difficult. But other things are difficult too!

But even if their life IS easier, so what? Those of us with kids wanted kids and knew some things would be sacrificed for a while, like sleep and time and money.

Anyone else get annoyed about this?

I’m sure I was sometimes tired when I was childfree.

I read stuff like this and just think all the whining about young kids and how hard it is means you're probably just not very good at it.

Wow, I was just venting on a parenting forum. I thought other parents would say how tired they were to be woken up multiple times per night or how they have to get woken up to then wake up earlier than the kids to get ready for work.

Why are you on a general parenting forum? Pretty sad. I had better things to do or better websites to browse than a parenting forum when I wasn’t one!

Yeah, it's tiring and it is the result of choices you made... no one cares.

Your kids sound terrible. Yes, sucks majorly for you. Don't you wish and pray that you were childless?

+1

But it is not only bad parenting, but often times it is a bad marriage, financial issues, dirty/littered home and kids who are dumb/ugly/difficult.

Because they expect the world to take care of their children. The entitlement is immense. They go and fuxck without condoms and their kids becomes our problem?

Op here. I had a coworker who told me his puppy was harder than having a newborn.

Probably they are right. Why do you care though?

As a childfree person I am bemused by parents complaining about how tired they are. This is literally why I didn't have kids--because they are exhausting. How is it that I knew this and so many apparently didn't?

Women have control over their fertility. They can choose not to have kids if they don't want to do the work that being a parent entails. It is shocking that these women are so immature and yet they are reproducing like rabbits.
