Anyone familiar with NL ‘28/‘29 girls’ teams can say whether any girls on those teams have a legitimate shot at Capital Blue? |
Those girls still have time to develop. You need to be asking about the 27's. They're up next. |
Sorry - I actually meant to type ‘27 not ‘29. ‘28s are on cusp too tho. |
The 27 team is the weakest of the 3, so maybe 1-2 girls for Blue. The 28 team has 1-2 at most as well. A good amount of talent in the 28 year has already gone to Maryland teams, especially Hero's. It looks different than the 27 and 29 years. |
| Is this thread for boys or girls? So confusing. |
Not a single player has left the ‘28 team for a “Maryland” team. ‘28 picked up a couple Stars players and one Pride Red. |
| You are talking about the BLC kids who went to Heros. |
ML is nationally recognized; NL not so much. Being from NY, but having friends who have kids down in DMV, the poaching is far worse down there. Probably has to do w so many of the private HS coaches involved in the club scene and are used to poaching/recruiting for HS. In LI, the public school lacrosse is strong enough that many kids just stay public, so that limits the idea of recruiting at the HS level. |
Don't know enough about Capital to say whether any NL 27 girls would make blue or orange but some can make one of the Capital teams if they try out. The best athlete from last year's NL 27 went to Hero's White this year. NL27 still has a few good athletes on the team that may be looking for better coaching. NL 27 is a top B team that will play A this year. Last chance for some of the girls to see how they stack up against top competition. |
The 28 NL team didn't pick up any impact players and will struggle to win more than 1-2 games in NGLL this season. |
Pride Red player is an impact player. You do not know what you are writing about. |
Let's make this easy. The 27, 28 NL teams are not good, won't be sending many players to Capital Blue and won't win this spring. Leaving Pride Red (best 28 team in the area) for a lesser NL club, not something most would do. |

Let’s make this easy: You are the same poster who takes a post about making Cap Blue and turns it into a referendum on the program. You are the Know-It-All-Lax-Mom. |
how about we let the girls grow and develop at their own pace and when tryouts for Capital happen we’ll all know who makes what team. It’s great you have your daughter’s future all panned out. |
