Next Level HS teams

Anyone know what tournaments they are playing in this fall? Or what teams they have for HS this year?

The non answers to the question above speaks volumes…. I checked the website but there aren’t any teams listed or tournaments so maybe nothing for HS anymore?

Girls? I think they did play in a tournament this past weekend but I have no idea which one.

NL 2024 is one of the best teams in the nation. This is silly

Boys and Girls NL teams are vastly different so you need to specify.

This has to be around the Girls HS teams. And NL boys teams have been pretty active this fall and all have tourneys coming up.

OP here - asking about girls. Looking at options.

Madlax, CAVS, NL, Steps, 3d, all teams that have tried to have strong teams both boys and girls. It never works.

Yes, NL boys teams are very good. NL girls would struggle playing good competition.

NL has 2-3 very strong girls middle school teams. it is going to be interesting to see what happens to those teams over the next few years.

Does your DD want to play in college? Is she a strong player? Is she in high school or 8th grade?

If yes to any of those questions, don't do Next Level.

If no to any of those questions - if she doesn't care to play in college. If she is a middling player and just wants something a little more than her high school team but not quite at the MC/Capital/Pride level, Next Level is an okay option.

Agreed. My guess? If the Pride girls go to Capital, so with the NL girls. If they don't make blue they may stay but with no solid recruiting history, Capital will be a big draw.

Feedback on NL boy HS teams? There is a lot of chatter around Mitchell and Co. working to poach players from local clubs once they get to HS to build teams. I guess they would call it building a team.

If that is the case (which is there choice, of course), I just want to know before I get my kid involved with their program.

What teams are those? The 29-27 NL girls teams are not strong at all. They are much lower than Pride, BLC and Stars teams.

On the Boys side, NL has tremendous 24 & 25 teams. Madlax 23 team is outstanding. 26/27/28 seem to be slightly stronger at NL. DCE has a great 26 team, we shall see about their other squads.

Between taking advantage of the ML 24/28 Coaching situation and coaching a two WCAC schools and one IAC school, poaching probably isn't really needed.

There are no shortage of parents willing to move their kids from club to club in order to find the right mix of playing time and coaching that fits their DS best.
