Is your 5-11 year-old boosted before school starts?

No, that’s not true. Also, there is no data (not a shred of evidence) that a boosted kid is less likely to catch Covid.

We sure were. And Pfizer is celebrating its profits.

Yes. We got all three boosted this past weekend. Our pediatrician recommended it and we trust their guidance.

The risks of myocarditis is very, very low in their age group and they regularly see their elderly grandparents, so if the booster helps reduce risk of transmission even a little, it's worth it.

No - just had covid in July and waiting for the updated booster hopefully.

My kid turns 12 in October so we are waiting to get him boosted until we can get him the higher dose.

No. She got covid in August and will wait for updated booster.

Risk of myocarditis w/ vaccine vs covid depends heavily on age and sex. Teenage boys and young men are most susceptible to vaccine induced myocarditis. It is not as much of a problem in younger children. Paul Offit said this on a podcast I listened to—he supports vaccinating the under 5s. Personally I didn’t want to do a booster of the old strain, I’d rather wait for newer boosters. And we got our natural infection booster this summer anyway.

Yes, overnight camp required it.

You listen to podcasts about Covid vaccines?

Why would she miss 5/10 days of school without a booster?

Yes mine is!

My 10 year olds are not boosted (fully vaxxed in December 2021) and just had Covid. 1 was asymptomatic and the other had just a slight cough. Based on this we are going to wait and see with the booster since they will be pretty well protected through the fall.

anyone have any educated guess on when they will have a remixed booster available for teens or kids? Mine all had it a few months ago so we’ve been waiting on booster and would ideally hold out for the new mix.

No. I don't think there's much of a reason to do so. It doesn't stop transmission, and symptoms are mild for that age anyway, so I don't see the benefit.

No. We’re not doing any more boosters. For any of us.
