Is your 5-11 year-old boosted before school starts?

We are thinking if DD should be given the mRNA booster before school starts. Our concern is just the side effects she may get, given that DH and I, as well as my dad and brother, reacted pretty badly to the booster and we're thinking (perhaps being paranoid, I admit), that our child may have increased risk of myocarditis. Would be encouraging to know if there're folks who are getting their kids boosted, and if already boosted, there weren't concerning side effects experienced.

No, its pointless for kids.

No. My kids were vaccinated in December and January and came down with Covid in May anyway. No boosters. We checked the box for the vaccine and we’re done now.

No, we are not boosting our elementary school kids.

Got my 7 y/o boosted in July when I took our 3 y/o in for her first. No issues.

No. There are very few people boosting their little kids. Most probably only got their kids vaccinated to avoid exclusion from activities.

Same kids got both shots in December and got covid in January. No boosters for them.

No. Pointless.

We’ll be getting it. DD’s best friend (10) just had COVID and was sick with a high fever for 5 days. She missed two full weeks of camp.

Yes. Myocarditis chances are much higher with a covid infection than with the vaccine, fwiw.

No and we got COVID so we're like immune now
