As a woman with autism, I'm very interested to see this. I also watch K-dramas and love Kpop, I'm really surprised they chose to create a character that is a woman with autism. In a Korean series. I don't think autism is discussed much over there, so I'm curious to see if it creates more awareness and acceptance.
I hope you'll come back here and give us your thoughts after watching it. Judging from discussions on reddit, it sounds like a lot of people with autism/family members of people with autism are watching it.
I watched the first two episodes. At first I felt like they were taking all these quirky autistic traits and rolling it up into one character. I see some of myself in those, but not all. But then I remind myself that it is a spectrum, and autism looks different from one person to another. Overall I am enjoying the actress’s portrayal of Attorney Woo, I feel like this Korean series portrays autism better than the western shows I’ve seen. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the episodes. I also find it interesting the head of the law firm is a woman. I wonder how this, as well as autism, is perceived in a hierarchical culture like Korea. I’d be curious to know what people in Korea think of this series.
