Please enlighten us about how the due process clause requires you to appeal a decision you lost in a civil suit. Idiot pretend lawyer. |

PP is a bit thick; point is there is DP and the case is not done.
Still, Oberlin behaved atrociously and now gets its just deserts. Either a loss on appeal or a remand and confidential settlement but it is paying well into the seven figures for wok hubris. |
They’re not obligated to, but they have the legal right to do so. But it’s really just a silly discussion because no one cares about this story other than RWNJs. |
Really? I just did a search and the most recent decision was covered by pretty much every major newspaper in the country. |
Months ago… Why do you care about a seven year old case involving a different admin and students long gone? It’s weird that of all the protests and scandals on college campus much more recently, this is where the Fox News mouth breathers lose their collective sh*t. It’s like Oberlin is living rent free in their heads. Which is fun to watch. Carry on! |
+1 We have European family and none had heard of Oberlin until my daughter attended and the extent of their current understanding is a small college in the Midwest where DD doesn't have to choose her major until the end of her second year (cue their confusion lol). They have really only heard of HYPSM and it doesn't really concern them. DD is also there to get a STEM degree and is challenged by the rigor of those classes and she's hoping to do biology research next year. What happened is unfortunate but aside from the money (not great), it doesn't seem to affect students currently on campus, who arrived years after the original incident. What attracted us was their strong STEM programs, as well as their relative affordability with merit aid. The college does seem to have a good track record of students receiving national awards and fellowships, which DD is excited and hopeful about. |
Links to recent coverage by WaPo and NYT? |
Absolutely. I would avoid Oberlin grads the same way I'd avoid YLS grads. No thanks. |
Wow, is that wishful thinking... |
Someone is certainly triggered... probably because you know full well Oberlin is in the wrong bigtime and has made a mockery of the school and its students. Oh well. Carry on! DP |

Oh, you’re dumb. I’m sorry. Must be hard. |

| This wasn’t an isolated incident. Oberlin has a long record of idiotic woke BS incidents. |
Those are from months ago, not recent. |
