Why are you wearing a full face of makeup to the pool?

+1 It feels like a lot of effort to live her life but if it makes her happy, more power to her. Maybe style is simply fun for her. If she's just a narcissist looking to be admired, then don't admire her. But often women like this are perfectionists who are insecure, so in that case just be glad it's not you.

Not sure who to side with here. I definitely put a little effort in when I go to the pool. Why? Because it’s my life all summer and all my friends are there. Why shlep around in gym shorts and flip flops all summer? I also wear makeup because I am over 40 and no one needs to see my uneven complexion. That said, I do notice that some moms are over the top (in my opinion). Espadrille heels, for example, always look cheesy to me.

I go with the natural look, enough to cover my flaws. Cover makeup today is not the cover makeup of yesteryear. Lipstick is always ok IMO.

OP, did "papa" not please you enough last night to fill the gap your antidepressant leaves in your life? Does the Subaru need a repair that your going to ask mummy and daddy to help you pay for? Or did those new Chacos give "mama" a blister? Or maybe those extra 30 lbs your put on since letting baby Esme "self ween" mean that none of your pants fit??

By all means, teaching Arlo and Faye that pink lipstick is bad will help rid the world of future generations of capAtalist sheep (unless of course they Are helping you to make a down payment on that cute bungalow in del Ray ! That $$ isn't evil) ha!)
